Our Story
About Tanta Holdings
Four companies. One thesis. Global professionals have the skills - Tanta Holdings builds the systems to translate that into US opportunity.
Founder
Jon Edwards
Navy Veteran. Instructional Designer. Builder.
The Consulting Practice
Jon Edwards spent over two decades in the US Navy - active duty and reserves - then built a career at the intersection of Instructional Design, workforce development, and AI enablement. Tanta Solutions is that practice: ISD and AI adoption consulting for enterprise L&D leaders. It is the highest-margin, fastest-moving part of the Tanta Holdings system - and it funds everything else.
The Observation
Through that work, Jon saw a second problem: global professionals - particularly in the Philippines - show up skilled, prepared, and English-proficient, and get consistently placed below their actual capability level. The gap is not talent. It is access, preparation, and navigation.
The Training Company
Tanta Global Academy was built to close the preparation gap. The flagship VA101 course trains professionals specifically for the US remote work market - not generic VA training, but the kind that produces candidates US clients will actually pay for and keep.
The Placement Arm
Training without placement is a credential with nowhere to go. Tanta Global Assist connects certified TGA graduates with US clients who are ready to hire. Pre-vetted talent, no cold outreach, no guessing.
The Visa Reality
US employers started asking about bringing talent on directly - visa sponsorship, work authorization, immigration timelines. Jon's wife Janice went through the J-1 visa process firsthand as a Filipino professional. That lived experience became the foundation of Tanta Visa Pathways.
The Thesis
Why This System Exists
Global professionals are skilled and underplaced. US organizations are deploying AI tools without training plans, hiring talent without a pipeline, and navigating immigration without a roadmap. Tanta Holdings solves all three simultaneously.
Tanta Solutions addresses the US enterprise training gap directly. TGA and TGA Assist build the global talent pipeline. TVP navigates the immigration layer when remote work is not enough. Each company is independently viable. Together they form a system none of them could build alone.
Not a shortcut. A real infrastructure play - built from consulting revenue out.
Transparency
What Tanta Holdings Is - And Is Not
What we are
- ✓A training organization for professionals seeking US remote work
- ✓A placement operation connecting trained talent with US clients
- ✓A visa navigation layer built from firsthand J-1 experience
- ✓Honest about what each company can and cannot do
- ✓A referral source when a situation needs an attorney or a sponsor
What we are not
- ×A law firm or source of legal advice
- ×A J-1 visa sponsor (State Dept designation is a long-term goal)
- ×A licensed immigration consultant
- ×A guarantee of employment or visa approval
- ×A substitute for legal representation when your case needs it
Roadmap
Where We Are Going
The current system is operational. The pipeline from certification to US remote work is functional. Tanta Solutions is actively building an enterprise consulting pipeline. TVP's visa navigation layer for J-1 and other categories is live.
Long-term, TVP is pursuing State Department designation as a J-1 Exchange Visitor Program sponsor - allowing Tanta Holdings to directly sponsor Filipino professionals rather than referring them to existing sponsors. We are building toward it honestly, not claiming it before we have it.
If you are a licensed immigration attorney, a J-1 sponsor organization, a school district, or a US employer looking for pre-vetted talent - reach out directly.
